Howdy!
This will be my first official blog post as a Howdy! Farm intern for the fall 2014 semester!
I am a super senior biological and agricultural engineering major at TAMU and I will be graduating May 2015!
I'm hoping to find a job abroad or become a volunteer in the PeaceCorps or AgriCorps.
A little bit on why I wanted to become an intern at Howdy! Farm.
I knew I wanted to spend my life and make a career out of helping others.
I believe that is why I majored in something environmental related, besides the fact that water interests me in every form of the matter. I essentially want to travel the world and grow to help communities who need potable water systems or help with their waste-water treatment methods. By no means do I want to go in a completely remodel their existing methods or implement what I think is best for their community. I want to learn about these communities and understand their wants/needs/likes/dislikes, I don't want to be someone who comes in and changes anything, I want to be a local helping other locals solve a problem.
I believe Howdy! Farm will teach me knowledge on sustainable farming and conservation practices, this is one step that will kick start my career and I can't wait to see whats to come this semester.
